Baby Haines

So the little guy finally made his appearance.

Hunter Curtis Haines was born 3:26am on 8/20/10. 7 lbs 11 oz and 21inches long.

My doctor stretched me that morning to get things going. Around 5:30 or 6pm my doctor came to do rounds and broke my water. I was trying to go with out an epidural, but 3 hours later I was still at a 6. So I got an epidural and start pumping lots of potosin at 9pm. Around 12:30 ish, I was at a 10! I didn't start pushing for a while later because I was so tired and wanted a little more sleep. When the pushing came, I only pushed for about 45 mins and out flow (literally) Hunter. One push he was at his eyes/nose and the next thing he's completely out!!!!

He is such a mild and mellow boy. But he was scream half way out and didn't stop until Daddy was holding him. They put in on my tummy and he got so quiet and just started looking around. We are sure in love with this little guy. He's so cute and we can't stop looking at him.

After one of my contractions, before I got the epidural. The nurse always came in to check on my after an intense contraction and got me laughing.

Hunter just kicking it back later that morning. He's always in that relaxed state.

Finally, we made it into a Post pardum room. It was a full day of births Thursday and Friday that Hunter was with us all but one hour (when he was in the nursery getting cleaned up!). We finally got a room about 12 hours after delivery.

Still here at 39 weeks!

I thought I would post one last picture (hopefully) for me before this little guy come. This little one can come out and have daddy time. I'm ready to have my energy back and start the next part of his life. Enjoy!

You gotta do What you gotta do!

Living in Reno, you never get use to the heavy winds. While sitting here on the computer, I noticed out my sliding door that our Tomato plant was completely blown over. The metal cage that holds the plant was completely bent at the bottom.

"OH, NO! What do I do?" Nick's not home, so I get creative. The only thing I could find to try the plant's cage was Sheet Rock Tape (left over from our bedroom). So I tie one end to Nick's hammock where it hooks to the house and the other is tied one of our porch poles. Plus, I found a closet rod, the wooden kind that you hang your close up on, and stuck that in the ground to hold the other side of the plant. It's doing an okay job.

The wind wouldn't be such a problem, but our tomato plant has grown at almost 2 feet above the cage. The cage is 3.5 to 4 feet tall. Nick and I don't know what to do. It's just taken off! But we do have 7 tomatoes growing!!!!

Just thought I'd post my amazing abilities at securing things!

Next to our big tomato plant, we have a smaller tomato plant, cantaloupe and zucchini plants. We are getting exciting to be able to eat our plants!

My Birthday!

I've never been big on celebrating my birthday, and this year was no different. I ended up working a full day (which was really nice). Then Nick and I went to see Toy Story 3 and then went out to Olive Garden for dinner. The movie was funny and dinner was good! WE figured we go out one last before the little guy comes.

As far as being pregnant: things are going great. I have 5 weeks left and still going strong and working 5 days a week. I finally got around to having Nick take picture of me at 35 weeks. They aren't the best becuase they were taken at the end of my long birthday day. But hope you enjoy my belly bump!

Memorial Weekend

What do you do when it's a nice weekend and want to get out? You go rock climbing!!!! This is what I do when I'm 29 weeks! I got to get the little guy introduced to it early!!!

Yes, Nick was there too!

PS~ Rock climbing is a lot easier when you don't ahve almost 30 extra pounds, but it was a lot of fun! Enjoy your summer!!
