We have one day left here in our house. We've been house sitting for a couple for the last 11 months. It has been a great savings and a great experience for us. We've learned how to fix fences after the dog as chewed completely through it. We've fixed numerous things in the house. We are ready for our own home.
We'll hopefully be moving into our own home in a couple of weeks. It'll be fun to fix the house up together and set it up just the way we want it. But for the next couple of weeks, we'll be staying at Nick's parent's house. We are very grateful and thankful for them.
We've been packing and cleaning for the last week. I never knew how much stuff one could collect over a year, but two people is even more. We are more excited to open all of our boxes, that we packed a year ago, to see what things we have! We are excited for the new adventure that a house brings.

A day of just hanging out!
Today was a great rejuvenating day! I spent most of the day with my friend, Becky. I met Becky in the ward Nick and I first were in when we were first married. She and I have had a few fun trips with our husbands and young women. We've hiked Carson Pass (i think that's waht it's called), Sailed in the rain in the Bay, spent the night in a snow cave, and rafted the American River.

Today we decided to rent High School Musical 3, eat popcorn, and have lunch at Taco Bell. We spent several hours just girl talking. She's an incredible woman!

One Step Closer!
In may, Nick an I had our 2nd year anniversary. It's so crazy to think we just spent another year together. We went to Sacramento for a weekend to play some Disc golf and see the Lion King on Broadway. We went to dinner at this incredible Italian place called Lucca (great food). We alos stayed at the Fairfield Marriot and we were inpressed that the bed was actually comfortable. We had such a nice time together and enjoyed just seeing Sacramento.

Nick really liked seeing Lion King. We were impressed with the costumes and puppetry. I'd seen it before so when I saw it was going to in Sacramento, I couldn't pass it up. Nick can't stop taking about it. We wish Reno had some good musicals coming but they don't. Anyone looking for a chance to take kids to see it, it's way worth it.
In June, we got notice that we maybe one step closer to buying a house in Sparks. We've had inspections on the house and now are waiting for the bank to process everything. We'd be more excited but we have been so busy the last couple of weeks that we will be glad when this is all over and we have keys to our house.

Until the next post! I'll leave with this news: Peter, my brother, is finally done with school. He graduated pharmacy school today and we are so proud of him and his family. Way to go Pete!
