A quater of a century looks like this:

Day 1 of birthday hike.
Couple miles in on day one.

Nick and me

Nick almost to our destination on day 1.

End of day one. Ended at Mona Lake, Ca. If you look on this picture at the mountain range, the very left side of the picture were there is all the white snow at the (almost) edge of the picture, is were we ended up at the day of 2.

The beginning of day 2. We had to cross little creeks and wade through several of them.

Nick and our lovely tent. I took a long nap while Nick went of exploring and fly fishing. He it was for my birthday and I'll take a nap were ever I please.

Looking out over Peeler Lake. Yosemite Wilderness is the Mountain range behind me. There was still snow up there and we went in July.

Nick and the end of our hike on day 3.

This year for my 25th birthday I wanted nothing but to get a way and be by ourselves. Nick took me to the Saw Tooth Range, just outside of Bridgeport, CA. It was a 3 day trip. We back packed in 4 miles to Mona Lake the first day, then 4 more miles to Peeler lake the second day, and the back down all eight miles on the 3 day. It was a lot of fun, except for all the mosquitoes!!!! On the 2nd day, we got up and hiked the 4 miles and were to our destination by lunch time. I decided to want to take a nap, so I did and Nick hiked over to the other side of the lake and went fishing and explored.
I have to say that this year, was a great way to turn 25. Just being out in the wilderness with your sweetheart and no one else! What a great time! Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Sorry it's been a while!

I put this post second becuse I wanted to show off those cool pictures.

I know it's been a while since I have last posted. I didn't have internet for a few weeks and Nick took the camera with all the pictures. So tonight I thougt I would check the connection and it worked!!

Here's the low down:

We are still at Nick's parent's house, we are hopefully closing on our house on Aug 25th! Don't ask why we haven't closed already, unless you want what my parent's have deemed: "The Haines' Soap Opera".

As for me, not much is happening. One of my first friends in Reno, Dawn Patterson, got married today and it was a lot of fun seeing everyone again. I'm so happy for her. Massages are still being needed and am booked almost solid every day!!!!!

As for Nick, well he's doing what Nick does best..................... hike the Haines way. Nick, his dad and his younger sister are right now on the John Muir Trail. This trail is from Yosemite to Mt. Whitney in California. It's 220 miles and they are doing it in 7 DAYS!!!!! I wish them the best and very glad that I'm not the one hiking an average 35 miles a day, but way to go Nick.

Well, that's all for now. I'll post more when Nick's back and we get home from my cousin's wedding.
