Family Christmas Picture

My dad sent me this picture that he scaned into the computer. This was our family christmas picture in our Tucson house ~ 20 years ago!!!!! I just have to add, I wasn't a big fan of taking pictures. But I thought I'd post this picture. Enjoy 20 years ago!

Famliy and Living room PAINTED!!!

Nick and I spent Friday evening and all day Saturday painting our Living room and family room. We wanted to get that done so we could have friends over and not have construction going on. Now that that's painted, we can go back to focusing on your master suite!

**Sorry but the true picture color doesn't come out in the camera. Plus it was rainy today. So I did my best.

This is our blue wall in our family room. You are looking into the kitchen and the living room.

My back is against the blue wall, looking into the family room. We finally had a corner to put my sister's corner cabinet in. The wall is a medium brown.

This is the fire place in our living room. The color is light brown. It's a shade or 2 lighter than the family room. The couch we got from a friend for free, so we went and bought a sandy slip cover (and it looks better. The original color is the pillows).

Welcome to our red wall! It's on the wall against the kitchen. This picture is looking into the family room. By the way, when you buy red paint-it's actually bright pink until it drys. This red if after 2 coats, and we are planning on doing another 1 or 2 coats.

More to come once we start back on the bedroom. I'm just tried of the rain because every time we go to fix the roof (where it leaks) it rains. But at least it brings moisture to the land.

2 weeks untill....

I'll be a one job woman! I've had 2 jobs for the past several years, and am excited to finally only have to go to one job a day rather than two.

I'll be working at the physical therapist office, helping out the physical therapist. SHe broke her finger last week and finally decided that she needed me to do all her massages for her. I'm loving it all though right now I'm work 12 hour days becuase of 2 jobs. But it couldn't have come at a better time!

Just had to post that I only have to work 2 more weeks of 12 hour days!!!!

We have a blue wall!!!

Last satuday, Nick and I finally got paint on the wall. While Nick was finishing priming the rest of the walls, I was painting the dusty blue/gray accent wall. I also painted the few walls in the kitchen. We also changed the knobbs on the cupboards to silver.


This pictures is Nick painting, but you can see the blue wall in the family room. You are looking into the living room and kitchen.

This is waht the wall will look like when we actually paint the base board white. Right now it's just primed, but It'll look great.

We are planning on painting the rest of the family room and living room this friday and saturaday. So more pictures to come.

House pictures

So here are the pictures!!!! They start off after Nick and knocked down all the walls but left the electrical wires.

This is nick and my dad framing the old master door.

Nick and my dad just attached the closet frame to the ceiling and floor.

Nick had to cut off some nails in the ceiling. He has a shirt on his head because he didn't want his hair to catch in fire. As Nick says: "I need all the hair can get. So why burn it off."

This is of the bathroom that has been almost all the way sheet rock.

I'll have more pictures soon. We started mudding and taping some of the walls, and primed most of the walls in the family/living/entry way.
