Today it is snowing here in Reno. In Arizona it's nice and 90 degrees. It still amazes me that snow is so enticing. We gave in a turned the heater on. But it'll be back off by Monday when it'll be in the 70's. I thought I would include pictures from our back yard. I love the snow but do not like the cold!!! I want to be warm!

Arizona has a State song!?!
So I have done some research about this topic. Nick and his family sing the Nevada State Song regularly. I told him I never knew there was a state song for Arizona. Apparently I was wrong.
I found this out:
"The Arizona State Anthem was adopted February 28, 1919 by the Fourth State Legislature. The "Arizona March Song" as the anthem was titled, was written by Margaret Rowe Clifford with music composed by Maurice Blumenthal. More than 60 years later, the Arizona Legislature named Arizona (I love you Arizona), a song written and performed by Rex Allen, Jr. as an alternate state anthem. Rex Allen Jr. and father Rex Allen, natives of Willcox, are known world-wide for their famous renditions of cowboy songs."
I'm still trying to find out what they both sound like. I am the only ARIZONIAN that didn't know or learn the state song??
Apparently Nevadans still know theirs. If you ever see Nick you'll have to have him sing it to you. Once you hear it you'll never forget it.

Thomas Creek Canyon
We went on our 3rd annual FALL HIKE!
This is the second time we have come to this place. We love it becuase there are so many colors. We took the dog, Pearl, that we are house sitting with us. We thought she's love going and boy she did.
Nick with Pearl!
We saw the purple and had to get a picture!
Nick with Pearl! Buy the time we were heading home, we could let go of the leash and she would go a few feet and then wait for us. She has gotten attached to Nick. She kept going where he would go.

2 of the best years of LIFE!!!!
This sunday will be 2 years from when Nick and I started dating. Crazy to think of all that we have done in that time. Let's see there is: a wedding; 2 Sail Boat races; a Wooden Boat Show; Many (and I mean many) Hikes, Rock Climbing trips; and the latest Kayaking and tubing the Truckee River.
So this week Nick and I decided that we needed to start working out. I pulled out my roller blades (haven't been on in 3 years) and got on a mountain bike to bike to my in-law's house (I haven't been on a bike since the winter of my senior year in high school. I was a little rusty). It's not even the weekend and we have worked out almost everyday!
Yesterday we finally had our rock climbing trip. We went to a place called River Rock (near the border of nevada/Calif.) and sent the morning there. It was the first time I actually made it all the way to the top (TWICE)!!! I don't like heights but enjoy climbing up! Then the lastest adventure of Nick Haines is KAYAKING!!! WE've been checking out all the rapids in the Truckee River. So today we decided to go tube/kayak the River. Me being from Arizona, and not a fan of the cold, decided to put on Nick's wet suit and wore a life vest. Normally there's a few rapids but Nick wanted BIG ones!!! Needless to say on the first big rapid- I got filled out of the tube and inhaled lost of water. Yes I was fine! Nick was there to make sure. It was actually fun minus the bruises. If you ever need a great workout try- wearing a wetsuit trying to keep control of a tube that's bigger that normal and not hit every rock! So nick and I decided that since we started dating we will do almost anything crazy together. I guess it helps build our trust (or stupidity!)! Then once we got off the river, Nick was off to go Abilonie Diving of the coast Menicino, Calif. We never stop!
It's just amazing to think that that much time has passed and so many memories to remember. I'm so glad that I took the leap to move to Reno (unless I'm doing one of Nick's adventures). I hope all of you today can look at your love ones and tell them how much you love them. Even if they make you do crazy things- YOU STILL LOVE THEM!!!

The Best Weekend!
This weekend was the Reno Air Races. It's really fun to go and watch the planes do races and then watch the planes do tricks. The Air Force's Thunder Birds were the big event of the races. They are so fun to watch fly and do tricks. There was also the F-22 Rapture. That's a COOL plane because it'll stop all of a sudden and they go again.
I was at a friends house in her backyard watching the Air Races. Her backyard faces the Airport and Race Course. We spent all day watching Air Planes and talking and eating!!! Also where the house is at was right where the planes flew over, so we were constantly getting buzzed!!!! I guess growing up with brothers, liking planes just rubbed off!!!!
The BEST part of the weekend was that my cousin, Steven, came out to Reno to go to the Races. Saturday night Nick and I pick him up and went out for ice cream. I couldn't let him be in Reno without me seeing him. This was the first time I've seen him since the summer/fall of 2005. 3 years was long enough for me to wait and see him. We had a great time visiting. Steven got to meet Nick and see who this crazy kid is that I married.
I wish I could have posted pictures of the weekend but I forgot my camera. Oh yeah, my weekend started off with watching a movie Friday night at my friend's, Becky, house. Nick was with his dad rock climbing so I had a very fun GIRLS WEEKEND!!!!
