A Day at the Park

A week ago, Nick and I both had the day off. We were originally going to go to Lassen National Park in California, but they were expecting a couple feet of snow. So we decided to stay home. When the sun was out during the middle of the day (due to rain and snow), we took the opportunity to go to the park and play. We headed over to San Rancho Park, were the geese are. Hunter had a blast playing in the playground, and was just content watching the geese. We tried to chase them to get them to fly, but it didn't work. We were all so cold, no one really wanted to move, geese included. But it was one of the funnest hour we've had together. (If is wasn't so cold we would have stayed longer).

We really had a fun time. We had to keep Hunter from picking up the goose poop though.

I hope we have some more nice days to spend at the park!

A day at school

Since living next to a school, Hunter sees the swings and play ground every day. And every day he trys to run across the street to play. So we took him over on evening to run around. The played with bushes and trees, ran around the play ground, swung by himself, and learn to go do a slide by himself. We've now had to go more over school to play! I love that he likes new things.

One morning I found Hunter like this. This is very typical of Hunter without the book. So I had to snap a shot of him reading all by himself.

September 2011

Hunter had become one little boy. He's running, loves the outdoors, and learned to spin in circles. Also he's finally eating like a big boy!!!! He love to read, but it has to be on his blanket with a stuff animal and his sippy cup. I love that he keeps trying new things!! He's a fun little one!

Daddy and Hunter love music time. Any time daddy plays the cello, Hunter has to help. So I usually will help by putting Hunter on my lap at the piano. He loves playing the piano and any time there's music he's singing!

One afternoon, the boys went outside to pick the ripe tomatoes. Hunter learned he could pick them off. So he started to eat the tomatoes. He loves them. Any time he's out back or sees tomatoes on the counter, he has to eat them!! I love that he loves them.

Part 2 of our Teton/Idaho Trip

The second day at the Tetons, Nick and Eric rock climbed,'The Grand' mountain. It took them around 16 hours. While they were doing that Rachel and I went hiking in Cascade Canyon, off of Jenny lake. We had fun. The next day we left the Tetons and headed to Yellowstone. We got to see "Old Faithful". It's amazing to see. After those few days, we decided to take it easy the rest of the week. We walked around BYU-Idaho, went to water park, saw the 'Bodies' exhibit, and visited with one of my good friends. We had fun week and wished we didn't have to leave. Until our next vacation!!

We decide to go walk around the campus of BYU-I. While there we took so 1 year pictures of Hunter in there gardens. He had fun picking flowers and climbing stairs. He was sad to get back into the car.

He didn't want daddy to help him walk.
He only wanted to play on the grass!

It was pretty funny.

Later that day, we headed over to the free water park. Hunter was timid at first, but then once he figured out it was fun, we couldn't get him out of the water. His lips we blue by the time we could get him to change and warm up.

Our last day there, I was able to connect with a friend/co-worker from Tucson. We had a blast!

The Grand Tetons and Camping; Day 1

Nick and I decided that we wanted to go camping for our summer vacatio. Nick's sister, Rachel, got married in March and the moved with her husband, Eric, to Rexburg, Idaho for school. So we went to go visit and see the sights. There was plenty to do there. We got in to the Tetons on sunday morning, ealry, to get a camp site. We got a great one with lots of space for Hunter to play and run around. After setting up we drove around and see the visiter centers. Then came back to rest a little. Then all heck, rained on us. It rained so much that our tent flooded, and Rachel and Eric's beame a water bed (there was a lake under there tent). So we drove up tp Jackson Lodge. We saw lots of green grass and Mountains. While at the lodge we saw a herd of elk. It was pretty cool to see the huge animals. Then once it had stopped rainning, we ame bak to camp and ate hot dogs and smores!!
