February

This last month has been a busy one. Mostly we've had a month of sickness and getting better. Both boys got RSV, and Nick and I got the cold virus. But we did manage to have some fun!

We all went (grandparents included) of to The South Yuba River for a hike. It was a lot of fun. We went looking for mushroom, but didn't find too many. The best part was I was in good shape!! I usually have a hard time hiking, but the working out has really made a difference.

We ate our lunch by the water. Hunter had fun throwing rocks and Kavan just laughed at Hunter.

He found a rock to throw.

Splash!

He was very proud of his accomplishment.

My cute boy learning to crawl.
Another weekend we went to the Carson Railroad Museum. Hunter loves trains at the moment. He had fun telling us about Thomas the Train. Actually he kept saying: "Look Thomas!"
The best picture we could get.

We got a tour of one of the trains there.

They were looking at some train gear, when I saw the train behind them.

Hunter and Daddy sitting in a KID proof train.

Hunter could move the knobs and pull the brake!

Kavan is now 7 months! He's getting big. At his 6 month check up he was 29in and 16.4 oz. Right at 7 months, he started army crawling. So now he rolls and crawls to get to all the toys. He can sit up when he wants to. He also just cut his first tooth!! He eats way more than Hunter and is growing like a week.

What is this poky stuff!

In goes the grass.
Hunter was watching us trying to get Kavan to laugh.

Can he get any cuter?!

First Few weeks in Jan

Here are some pictures of the last couple of weeks. Every year we take pictures of the boys looking at the Christmas lights. We love the reflection of the lights in their lights. We got some good ones of Kavan, but Hunter just wanted to be a ham. but his is cute anyways.

We got this frog costume from my sister. Hunter loves wearing it. We even tried to let him sleep in it, but he only wanted to eat pretzels and brush his teeth in it.

Hunter's new thing to do is tell you he's "I go night night", then he wakes up and says, "I'm awake!"
It's alot of fun to here him pretend to be sleeping.

Kavan is just getting so big!

One Monday after it had snowed, Hunter and Tyson (a friend's boy I watch) wanted to go play in the snow. I looked out at one point and found Tyson throwing snow balls at Hunter, and Hunter trying. About 5-10 mins later, I hear Hunter screaming/crying and go to see what happened. Tyson runs in and says, "I think he's freezing." Hunter comes in and I take his  hood off, and it is cake solid with snow. No wonder he was freezing. I was trying not to laugh, but it was pretty funny.

One night Hunter wanted to wear his blanket. Than he decided to tell me he was flying!
I sure love this boy!

Kavan loves his saucer. He's in it alot!

Christmas and New Year's Day!

This year we wanted to wake up in our own house for Santa to bring the boys their gifts. Hunter put out our stockings Christmas Eve, and was excited to see that was in them in the morning. Hunter help Nick and I open all of our presents. If not he would have been playing with the first toy he got. Nick got kayak stuff, I got a watch, Kavan got clothes, and Hunter hit jackpot:  toy helicopter and his very own potty. These were the favorites!!! Later we went over to Nick's parents' house for dinner and more presents. Hunter had a blast!!!

Kavan stayed busy in his saucer
This picture says a thousands words! It was taken at our ward Christmas party.

Since Nick and I had New Year's Day off, we went with his family to Calvaras Big Trees, CA., for a snow shoeing trip. On the way, Hunter got car sick and christened his new car seat, and I did a great job of not (almost) getting car seat. Needless to say, the drive took longer than expected. We had a blast walking around and seeing all the beautiful Big Trees. We also had fun dodging falling snowballs from the branches of the trees. They really hurt when you got hit. When all was said and done, we went to IN N OUT Burger, Hunter had his fries and even tasted Nick's hamburger. Kavan eat half of my shake. He's a big eater. On most occasions he eats more then Hunter does. We sure had a fun time!

Hunter wanted his picture by the tractor. He kept running over to the fence and telling us about the tractor and asking if Bob the Builder was there.

Christmas Stuff...

Hunter was so excited about HIS Chirstmas Tree! Anyone who has stopped by has has had to show them his tree. A few days after putting it up, we decorated it. Hunter was very proud of the ordiments he got to put on. He hasn't even taken any off. He just walks by and says: "Wow. Pretty!" I just love this time of year, and now with Hunter talking I love it even more. Any time  we are out and he sees christmas lights, he get really excited at tells you- "Lights, WOW, Pretty!!!"

The first one he had to put on.

HO HO HO!
This year I had a Marth Stewart moment. I wanted to make my boys their own stockings. Amazingly they came out great! The green is Hunter's, and the Blue is Kavan's. I also have been wanting to monogram Hunter and Kavan's towels. So while I had the sewing machine out, I was able to do it.
