I've seen this in on several blogs and thought I'd give it a go.
2010:
January:
We found out that we were pregnant and Nick started his last semester of school. While I was sick, Nick was teaching skiing at a Jr. Ski Program.
February:
We told the family that we were having a baby. During a weekend storm, it snowed enough for us to build our very own snowman in our backyard.
March:
We went to Disneyland with my parents, and my sister's family. This was Nick's first time there in a really long time. We had fun playing with my 3 year old niece while everyone rode the rides. Disneyland is more fun when there are kids around. It was fun to see there excited eyes!! One of the days there Nick got to go surf at the beach. Also, one of Nick's sister got married! It was fun to have all the family together for that special day.
April:
Nick and Natalie (nick's sister), skied a very steep chute in the Ruby Mountains. It was just out side of Elko, Nv and they had so much fun and couldn't stop talking about it. My parent's came out of a visit and we took them to Sacramento and saw the sights there!
May:
Nick graduated UNR. I had my baby shower. I also pick up extra days at work to keep myself busy. Work 5 days sure kept me on my toes. Because spring was upon us (minus the 4 feet of snow), Nick got into Kayaking and plunged head first into it, and went kayaking almost every day (for the whole summer).
June:
Nick, his dad, a friend and myself went to our church's camp site and fixed the climbing wall there. Many years ago Nick's family built a climbing wall to travel around to events, but decided it took too much time. So they donated it to the camp site for all to use. But over the years, it became a little unstable. So we went up there and fixed it. It was fun. We also went rock climbing at Donner (California) before I got to big and couldn't do it for the rest of the summer.
July:
Not much happened. Still working 5 days week and still pregnant. Nick was kayaking everyday. We had a running joke that it would be a fun tale to tell if I went into labor while he was out kayaking on one of the rivers around us. But it never happened :(
August:
Decided that I should probably not work 5 days any more and dropped to 3, but was going completely crazy and calling work everyday to see if I could come in and work. Hunter finally made his appearance in our family and spent many hours snuggling him. WE also hit our 1 year mark in our house!
September:
My parents came out to meet Hunter. They helped us finish a few house projects that we did get around to (do to me being pregnant). We took hunter on his first two hikes. The first one was more of a nature hike and the second was a fun hike that we ended up doing in the rain.
October:
My sister cam out for her annual "Girls weekend without kids". We did a lot of driving sight seeing. Nick and I took Hunter on his first car camping experience (in a campsite that you park your car at). The next day we went and did a hike of the sequoias at the campsite. I also start back to work part time. Nick watch hunter while I was at work and they had lots of fun having daddy time and I enjoyed going back to work doing massage. During daddy time, hunter figured out that he could roll over so that way he would be on his tummy!
November:
We went and cut our family Christmas tree. we also took Hunter on his first plane ride. We went to Phoenix for thanksgiving so my family could meet him. We had so much fun. I also forgot for beautiful the dessert is and how warm! In Reno on thanksgiving was a whopping 23 and Phoenix was like 68! I'll take Arizona any time!!!
December:
Hunter figure out that he could now roll over both directions, and have the time gets stuck because he can't decide which way he wants to go. Nick started skiing again, now that kayaking is over and the snow is here. We had Christmas here and Hunter was quite popular with the presents. One of Nick's other sisters got engage. Nick will stat his student teaching in January after finals are over for the students.
We can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for us. But bring it on!!!
