Pearl- The Wooden Boat

Nick bought a 1932 wooden boat over 4 years ago. He has kept it at a marina near San Fransico Bay. This past May we brought the boat, Pearl, back to Reno to restore it. This is Nick's year long project! He still fixing planks, redoing the beck, and put everything back together again. WE are hoping to be done in a year, but with Nick in his last year of college, it's kind of hard to find time to work on the boat. But he does!

Nick trying to put a rail road wooden block under the keal of Pearl. So that way Pearl would fit on the trailer.

Pearl in the trailer completely out of the water. It was an exciting event!!

Nick and his dad in their back yard. Nick's parent's are very kind and letting Nick keep Pearl in their backyard, while Nick and his dad restore it. It was very interesting trying to get Pearl in the back. It took all day!!!

Eagle Lake

We went up Tahoe a couple weekends ago for a vacation with my cousin Ally and Brooke, a friend. We hiked up to Eagle Lake, near Emerald Bay- Lake Tahoe, and had a great time. Watching Ally swim in the very cold lake. The day before we tubed down the Truckee River. We had a blast!

Young Women's Adventure

For our high adventure this year we took our girls down The American River's South Fork in California. The Girls had a blast. We had two rafts and I was the guide on the second one. it was a blast. I did knock off 4 people including myself. It was a 20 mile trip and 6 hours in the sun!!! We had so much fun that we wore the girls out and headed home early the next morning. This we my last Young Women activity with Reno 2nd ward.
